Ranked filaments
| Rank | Filament | Material | Nozzle | Bed | Price / kg | Datasheet | Buy |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bambu Lab ABSNozzle 230–260 °C (446–500 °F) and bed 90–110 °C (194–230 °F) from the Open Filament Database. The Bambu ABS technical data sheet adds drying at 80 °C (176 °F) for 8 h and print speed up to 300 mm/s. Enclosure required is blank. | ABS | 230–260 °C (446–500 °F) | 90–110 °C (194–230 °F) | — | Datasheet | |
| 2 | Polymaker Polylite ABSPolyLite ABS technical data sheet. Nozzle 230–260 °C (446–500 °F), bed 90–110 °C (194–230 °F), and drying at 70 °C (158 °F) for 6 h. Enclosure required is blank. | ABS | 230–260 °C (446–500 °F) | 90–110 °C (194–230 °F) | — | Datasheet | |
| 3 | Bambu Lab ASABambu ASA for the same warp problem on ASA. Nozzle 235–260 °C (455–500 °F) and bed 90–110 °C (194–230 °F). The ASA sheet adds drying at 80 °C (176 °F) for 8 h and print speed up to 250 mm/s. Enclosure required is blank. | ASA | 235–260 °C (455–500 °F) | 90–110 °C (194–230 °F) | — | Datasheet | |
| 4 | Prusament ASAPrusament ASA from the Open Filament Database. Nozzle 250–270 °C (482–518 °F) and bed 100–120 °C (212–248 °F). Drying is not stored. A warp fix does not lower this bed into the PLA range. | ASA | 250–270 °C (482–518 °F) | 100–120 °C (212–248 °F) | — | — |

Corner lift on ABS and ASA is a draft and a bed problem. A first layer that never stuck is bed adhesion. The two get mixed in this cluster, and the temperatures stay on the spool.
What the supplied comments say
The plate comment we can use is r/FixMyPrint 1526ay2: PVA-based hairspray or glue stick. Build plates is which sheet that glue goes on. The catalog does not store a hairspray product.
r/3Dprinting 10mpir5, in the update supplied here, is someone who had misread the bed springs and then sent the nozzle to X0 Y0. That belongs with first-layer setup. It does not add an ABS bed.
r/3Dprinting 177x4r5 is the infrared-lamp thread. One comment points at NASA technical report 20170000214. Another is about moving a fire extinguisher away from heat. This page does not adopt a lamp distance, a chamber temperature, or a joke as a setting. ABS printing cites the same report as a pointer only.
r/prusa3d 16o8zv7 and r/BambuLab 17dz2tl are in the bank. No comment text from them was supplied, so none is quoted.
Catalog beds
Bambu Lab ABS and PolyLite ABS list a bed of 90–110 °C (194–230 °F). PolyLite ABS also lists drying at 70 °C (158 °F) for 6 h. Bambu ABS lists drying at 80 °C (176 °F) for 8 h. Bambu Lab ASA lists 90–110 °C (194–230 °F) and drying at 80 °C (176 °F) for 8 h. Prusament ASA lists 100–120 °C (212–248 °F), and drying is not stored. Enclosure required is blank on each row. How to print ASA is the ventilation note for styrene.
Drafts
Keep moving air off the part and keep part cooling low. That process is stated on the ABS page. It is still not an enclosure-required cell in the catalog. ABS and ASA are the material hubs.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Glue stick or PVA hairspray is the plate step a supplied comment actually names.
- Bed numbers stay on the spool row. Bambu ABS and PolyLite ABS list 90–110 °C (194–230 °F). Prusament ASA lists 100–120 °C (212–248 °F).
Cons
- Enclosure required is blank on these rows. Draft control is the process, not a filled cell.
- The bank lists r/prusa3d 16o8zv7 and r/BambuLab 17dz2tl. The supplied excerpts do not include a comment from either thread, so this page does not quote one.
Printer considerations
- The bank's consensus summary for this cluster is empty. This page does not invent one. The process below is the glue-stick comment plus the ABS and ASA rows.
- A comment on r/3Dprinting 10mpir5 is an update about misread bed springs and a G1 X0 Y0 move. That is a first-layer setup miss. It is not an ABS temperature.
- An infrared lamp is the subject of r/3Dprinting 177x4r5. A top comment points at a NASA report. This page does not take a lamp distance or a chamber temperature from that report.
What the community says
This cluster has no consensus summary and no recommended-material list in the bank. The usable plate comment is on r/FixMyPrint 1526ay2: PVA-based hairspray or glue stick. r/3Dprinting 10mpir5, in the text supplied here, is a user correcting a bed-spring reading. r/3Dprinting 177x4r5 points at NASA technical report 20170000214 and includes a fire-extinguisher joke. Temperatures below are the catalog rows, not a lamp setup.

Questions
Will glue stick replace the ABS bed temperature?
No. Glue stick or PVA hairspray is the plate step from the r/FixMyPrint 1526ay2 comment. Bambu ABS and PolyLite ABS still list a bed of 90–110 °C (194–230 °F). Prusament ASA lists 100–120 °C (212–248 °F). Use the row you loaded.
Does this page take a chamber temperature from the NASA report?
No. A comment on r/3Dprinting 177x4r5 links NASA technical report 20170000214. The link is a pointer. Lamp distance and chamber temperature stay off this page.
