Good, in these comments, means one person has been printing ELEGOO PLA and then mostly PLA+. Best brand is the same kind of question for other names. Budget filament is the price question. Filament quality is how to look at a spool without a brand score. None of these three rows stores a price per kilogram.
Published settings, not a grade

What the community says
a Reddit thread in r/BambuLab says it has been fine for that person's purposes.
Pros and cons
Pros
- The praise stays attached to a score and a thread.
- The table is three ELEGOO rows with published temperatures. The order is not a score.
Cons
- No comment reports a failure count, a diameter measurement, or a price per kilogram. This catalog does not store a price on these rows.
Printer considerations
- The score-3 comment lists temperature, retraction, or uncalibrated esteps as possible causes of under-extrusion. It does not pick a number.
- The score-1 comment says the gap is between perimeters and infill and calls it slicer settings. It is not an ELEGOO specification.
- A spool that does not fit an AMS is a spool-size question. No comments describes the spool dimensions.

Questions
Does one person's 'fantastic' make ELEGOO the best PLA?
No. The score-6 comment on r/BambuLab is that person's report, and it says they now mainly use PLA+. What is the best filament brand already treats brand praise as comments, not a trophy. ELEGOO PLA lists 190–230 °C (374–446 °F) and a bed of 35–65 °C (95–149 °F) on the page checked 17 October 2026.
The print has gaps. Is the spool bad?
The two comments on r/FixMyPrint do not agree. A comment says under-extrusion. A comment says slight over-extrusion and slicer settings. Neither gives a temperature. The Rapid PETG page checked 17 October 2026 lists 240–270 °C (464–518 °F) and a bed of 65–75 °C (149–167 °F), and those comments do not cite it.
