# PETG versus ABS and ASA: which should I print?

PolyLite's own sheets, checked 21 October 2026, put PETG's heat-deflection temperature at 78 °C (172 °F) at 0.45 MPa and 75 °C (167 °F) at 1.8 MPa. PolyLite ABS is 100 °C (212 °F) and 98 °C (208 °F) on those same loads, and PolyLite ASA is 103 °C (217 °F) and 100 °C (212 °F). PETG's nozzle is also the cooler one. Easier is a comment, not a cell on the sheet.

Pick the limit you need, then use that spool's sheet. [PLA versus PETG](/answers/pla_vs_petg) is the easier pair. [ABS printing](/answers/abs_print), [ASA printing](/answers/asa_print), and [heat](/answers/heat) are the pages for a hot part and for the enclosure those materials drag in. The numbers here are PolyLite's, so the load stays attached to the degree.
## Same brand, both loads

[PolyLite PETG](/brand/polymaker/polylite-petg) lists 220–250 °C (428–482 °F), a bed of 70–90 °C (158–194 °F), 50–100 mm/s, and drying at 65 °C (149 °F) for 6 h. The heat dataset, checked 21 October 2026, lists heat-deflection temperature 78 °C (172 °F) at 0.45 MPa and 75 °C (167 °F) at 1.8 MPa, ISO 75. [PolyLite ABS](/brand/polymaker/polylite-abs) lists 230–260 °C (446–500 °F), a bed of 90–110 °C (194–230 °F), 50–200 mm/s, and drying at 70 °C (158 °F) for 6 h. The same dataset lists 100 °C (212 °F) at 0.45 MPa and 98 °C (208 °F) at 1.8 MPa. [PolyLite ASA](/brand/polymaker/polylite-asa) lists 230–260 °C (446–500 °F), a bed of 75–95 °C (167–203 °F), 50–200 mm/s, and drying at 70 °C (158 °F) for 7 h, TDS checked 21 October 2026. HDT is 103 °C (217 °F) at 0.45 MPa and 100 °C (212 °F) at 1.8 MPa.

Enclosure required is blank on all three. The order is PETG, then ABS, then ASA because that is the question's order. It is not a ranking of strength, price, or outdoor life.
## What the community says

[a Reddit thread in r/BambuLab](https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/1q2bvip/) reports poor ABS layer adhesion and better luck with PA and PC when a box was required.

[a Reddit thread in r/BambuLab](https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/1q2bvip/): prefers PETG to Bambu ABS on a P1S when the part allows it.

Updated 2026-10-25. Sources accessed 2026-10-25. Use case: PETG.
