# Can I dry filament in an oven or a food dehydrator?

Dry PLA at 45–75 °C (113–167 °F) for 4–12 hours; median 55 °C (131 °F) across 65 official tables. The drying dataset does not publish an oven temperature.

1. No oven setpoint is in the drying dataset. Do not treat a comment as one.
2. Use the PLA table on this page, or the matching material table, for a published drying temperature.
3. A dryer has to reach the filament's published maximum. The dryer tool checks that against the same filaments.
