# What filaments can the Prusa MK4/Core One/Mini print?

These ranked rows list 205–270 °C (401–518 °F).

The catalog stores the Prusa MK4S and the CORE One+ at a 290 °C (554 °F) nozzle and a 120 °C (248 °F) bed. Prusament PLA, PETG, and ASA fit those maxima. The catalog has no Prusa Mini record and no separate original-MK4 record.

Load PLA, PETG, or ASA when the spool's nozzle and bed sit inside 290 °C (554 °F) and 120 °C (248 °F), which is what the [MK4S](/printer/prusa-mk4s) and [CORE One+](/printer/prusa-core-one-plus) records store. The catalog has no Prusa Mini row.

## What fits

[Prusament PLA](/brand/prusament/pla) is 205–225 °C (401–437 °F) and 40–60 °C (104–140 °F). [Prusament PETG](/brand/prusament/petg) is 240–260 °C (464–500 °F) and 70–90 °C (158–194 °F). [Prusament ASA](/brand/prusament/asa) is 250–270 °C (482–518 °F) and 100–120 °C (212–248 °F). All three sit on or under the stored maxima. [PLA](/material/pla), [PETG](/material/petg), and [ASA](/material/asa) are the hubs. [Prusament PC Blend](/brand/prusament/pc-blend) lists 265–285 °C (509–545 °F) and 100–120 °C (212–248 °F), so that temperature window also fits. Hardened nozzle is blank on PC Blend. [Prusament PA11-CF](/brand/prusament/pa11-cf) lists 275–295 °C (527–563 °F) and hardened nozzle is true, so it does not fit the stock brass nozzle or the 290 °C (554 °F) maximum. [Carbon fiber](/answers/cf) is that limit.

The MK4S record says the enclosed chamber is not included and that an enclosure is optional. The CORE One+ record says the chamber is heated and enclosed. [ABS and ASA enclosures](/answers/abs_enclosure) is the chamber question. [ASA printing](/answers/asa_print) and [warping](/answers/warping) are the material guides.

## What the threads are actually about

[r/prusa3d 197ialb](https://www.reddit.com/r/prusa3d/comments/197ialb/) is MK4 PETG lifting. The leading comment wants a brim, an extra -0.05 of squish on the textured sheet, and a sheet scrubbed with soap degreaser and then isopropyl. Another comment asks about drafts. A third says enclose four sides and leave the top open. That -0.05 is the comment, not a stored Z offset. [PETG printing](/answers/petg_print) is the material page.

[r/prusa3d 1ilu19b](https://www.reddit.com/r/prusa3d/comments/1ilu19b/) asks why a CORE One spends about 7:40 absorbing heat before PETG. The leading comment says an MK4 without an enclosure has only the room to heat. Another comment says the gcode is waiting on a chamber temperature.

[r/prusa3d 1im3lgv](https://www.reddit.com/r/prusa3d/comments/1im3lgv/) asks if a CORE One should print only PETG. A comment says the machine can print from PC to ASA to PA, and that PLA is the easiest start. Another comment says PLA still has the silk, marble, wood, and glow spools PETG does not. [PLA printing](/answers/pla_print) is that easier start.

[r/prusa3d 1q8oppv](https://www.reddit.com/r/prusa3d/comments/1q8oppv/) is a CORE One+ filament detector whose PTFE tube is squeezed by a protrusion. The thread is a loading path. [r/prusa3d 19cqtp2](https://www.reddit.com/r/prusa3d/comments/19cqtp2/) is an MK4 filament-sensor argument. One reply runs 1 kg spools of SUNLU PLA and reports no sensor trouble. [SUNLU](/answers/brand_sunlu) is that brand.

## What the community says

r/prusa3d 197ialb is MK4 PETG warping. The leading comment says PETG and brims go together, asks for an extra -0.05 of squish on the MK4 textured sheet, and says scrub the sheet with a soap degreaser and then isopropyl. Another comment asks about room temperature and drafts. A third says enclose four sides and leave the top open if a vent is blowing. r/prusa3d 1ilu19b asks why a CORE One absorbs heat for about 7:40 before PETG when an MK4/S does not. The leading comment says an unenclosed MK4 has only the room to heat. Another says the gcode is waiting on a chamber temperature. r/prusa3d 1im3lgv asks whether a CORE One should skip PLA for PETG. A comment says the CORE One can print from PC to ASA to PA and that PLA is the easiest start. r/prusa3d 1q8oppv is a CORE One+ filament-detector path, a PTFE tube squeezed by a protrusion. r/prusa3d 19cqtp2 is MK4 filament-sensor complaints. One reply prints 1 kg spools of SUNLU PLA and reports no sensor trouble.
