# How do I improve layer adhesion?

The on-topic comments heat an ABS enclosure, or they print a smaller, slower bead so the plastic cools. Wall count and which material is strong are other pages. A cut-off 215 °C (419 °F) comment is not a new setpoint.

Layer adhesion in the comments we have is an ABS enclosure, or a smaller bead that cools. It is not a wall count and it is not a new catalog temperature.
## ABS enclosure, then bead size

[a Reddit thread in r/3Dprinting](https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/comments/vvtizp/): "You have heat the enclosure. 70c and your problems will be gone:)". "Reduce the layer height, so the hot polymer could cool down by itself. The smaller the volume of molten lines, the faster they'll cool down to ambient temps. Like 1mm wide and 0.2mm high. Or lower the speed to get the same effect."

[PolyLite ABS](/brand/polymaker/polylite-abs) lists 230–260 °C (446–500 °F) and a bed of 90–110 °C (194–230 °F). [Hatchbox ABS](/brand/hatchbox/abs) states a print temperature of 210–240 °C (410–464 °F) on the product page checked 19 October 2026, which does not state a bed. The catalog bed of 90–110 °C (194–230 °F) is the Open Filament Database cell. Neither row stores 70 °C (158 °F) as a chamber. [How to print ABS](/answers/abs_print) is the enclosure process. [ABS](/material/abs) is the material hub.
## The cut-off PLA steps

[PolyLite PLA](/brand/polymaker/polylite-pla) lists 190–230 °C (374–446 °F), so 215 °C (419 °F) is inside that nozzle, and the unfinished sentence is not a profile. only says the cool plate is frustrating. [PETG HF](/brand/bambu-lab/petg-hf) lists 230–260 °C (446–500 °F), 65–75 °C (149–167 °F), and drying at 65 °C (149 °F) for 8 h. If the layers pop because the spool is wet, that is [drying](/answers/drying), not this page.

Which material carries a load is [strength](/answers/strength). How many walls to draw is [walls versus infill](/answers/wall_count). [PETG prints](/answers/petg_print) is the PETG process. [Polymaker](/brand/polymaker) and [Hatchbox](/brand/hatchbox) are the brand indexes.

They are not quoted.
